Fresno TNR at the 2026 Fresno Rainbow Pride Parade & Festival

“Pride Without Borders” was the theme, and we truly felt it.

This year, Fresno TNR joined the Fresno Rainbow Pride Parade and Festival for the very first time. We had our van in the parade, greeted guests throughout the day, and had an absolute blast. We are already looking forward to next year.

From the moment we arrived and waited for our turn in the parade, people began coming up to us with questions about what we do and how we can help. Before the parade, during the parade, and even afterward, while we were waiting to move our vehicle, community members stopped to ask for guidance and support.

One of those conversations made an immediate difference. We were able to help a gentleman get his pregnant cat spayed. She was facing what would have been her seventh litter. Because that conversation happened, she avoided the strain, risk, and suffering of another pregnancy. That one interaction alone made our participation worthwhile.

After the parade, our booth at the festival gave us even more opportunities to connect with the community. We met a gentleman from Reedley who feeds several cats during his night shifts and truly wants to help them. Conversations like that are exactly why outreach matters. Sometimes people want to help, but they just need someone to point them in the right direction.

We also want to thank the incredibly kind Pride volunteers who helped make the day run so smoothly. A special thank-you goes to the wonderful woman who drove me around in a golf cart. She saved me from what felt like a million-mile trek back and forth while unloading booth supplies. Her kindness meant more than she probably realized.

Between the dedicated Pride organizers and volunteers, our amazing Fresno TNR team, and the many people who stopped by to ask questions or begin their TNR journey, this event was absolutely worth attending.

We are grateful we had the opportunity to be there, to educate, to connect, and to help more people help more cats. Events like this remind us that when a community comes together, real change can happen. One conversation, one cat, and one act of kindness at a time.
